When you're using the technique called fist compression on your horse, again, this is
something that you're going to want to reserve for the large muscle groups, the shoulder
areas on either side and the hindquarters down here. Using your fist closed pretty tightly
and digging in with this part of your fist, both hands. If you find a sore area, you can push in and
hold. Before moving on and, again, you use light, moderate and heavy pressure, and in
this part of the horse's body you can do this fairly far up the side, up in this area. Stopping
when you get to any of the bony, the shoulder blade area, any of the shoulder muscle area,
the shoulder bones, move back to the hindquarters. Again, keeping one hand on and do the same
thing. And, if you find a sore area, stop and just apply some direct pressure. And then
back off.
