Now to save some time I've already cliped in my extensions. Extensions I'll be using
are my Cliphairâ„¢ Double Weft Extensions the 20 inches in length
and they're shade 613. Now first of all I recommend straighting your hair once you've cliped in your
extensions. Although we gonna curl the hair
it gives a smoother finish. Now as you can see I just brushed through my hair
just to blend my hair with the extensions just so it all looks nice and good
before we start
I'm taking curling wand. I'm using my BaByliss Glamour Waves
you can use anything you like I'm really doing it to achieve waves in my hair
But if you wanna add actual curls and have the curl look fully end
then you can obviously do that. But this as I say for me personally I just wanted to add
body and volume. So curling away from the face you should be taking inch sections
and just curling them away and we gonna work the way around the head doing that
and as you will see I'm literally just pulling the hair through the curling wand
pulling it down almost like I'm blow drying. This gives a really nice
loose, bouncy wave almost to the hair
and a really really beautiful curl. So once I've done one side
I'm now gonna take my other side and I'm gonna work back, as I say, like I did the
other side, curling
away from my face and just working my way through my hair
till it's all curled and nice voluminous and bouncy.
Now once you have curled all your hair, I recommend letting you curls set
before you actually do anything with them and spraying them with some hairspray
you could also do this as I said with the conical wand or you could even do with heated rollers
but make sure you let the curls cool before playing with them
so once you've curled your hair you should be left with something like this
I'm now applying a little bit of hair oil
this is just a small amount and all I'm gonna be doing is rubbing it
through my hair just to smooth down any loose flyaways
any side that has dry ends of my own hair so they blend better with the extensions
this is also made my hair extremely soft and silky
and also just give it a really nice gloss and shine
Now I'm pulling my hair to the side as you can see this is just a little bit easier
coz this is the side I personally want to take it to. Obviously if you wanted to do you hair with a
plait at the other side
you could do it the other side quite easily but this is just the side
that I chose to do it on. Now I'm gonna be using some clear hair bands as you can see here
these are actually slight pastel once but I recommend clear because it'll
hide better in your own hair when you using them. You can pick these up in Claire's accessories
and other places like that and they are relatively cheap
Now taking two sections from the back
you gonna be taking about half an inch sections
into an inch sections. But I would say half an inch and you wanna take one of each side
and you gonna a wrap them around the main bulk of your hair as you can see like so
and for the first one I actually crossed the pieces of hair over
you now gonna tight them in their own little ponytail if you like it with the
clear hairband
and just secure this is nice and secure on the hair
now don't pull up the hair just yet as you can see I'm showing you
you've got a nice one and you gonna make a little hole in between you gonna pull
the hair through
likes so, and as you can see there you've created...it kind of gives you a little bit more
volume
and it gives a nice effect. Now don't worry if you don't pull them all out now
as I said I just pull that one out to loosen it out
and just give it a little bit more like a fuller effect
but you can alter pull all these little ponytails you gonna be doing
at the end. So we are repeating the process again as you can see I'm taking an half an inch
half an inch from underneath one side and then the other side
you just gonna pull it down slightly because you want that part of the little ponytail
you've just may have created to show
so you'll be leaving a little bit of a gap and doing exactly the same thing again
putting hair together, crossing it over, taking a hair band
and securitising it in place again
so once you have it secured in place, take your fingers
through the ponytail that you've just made, as you can see like so, you gonna
take the hair
flip it through it and pull it through. And again
it creates that little almost like a fishtail braid effect as you can see
what I love about also is if you've got layers is perfect for you
because it hides
obviously when you do a fishtail you often get all those little bits of loose hair
hanging out. This way you don't. It's much much nicer way of
doing it and it's actually quite effective because you could also thread
thread
flowers trough here, jewell, gems and jewels
pins, you could have all this threaded through the the actual
braid that you're making or the fall braid and it gives
absolute beautiful effect. So once you've obviously created those you gonna work
your way down. You can go down as far as you like you could go
right down to the bottom of your hair if you wish. But what I like to do is actually
leave probably a good
say five to six inches at the bottom
which I like to have wavy and curly. But this effect is
absolutely beautiful because it's one of those things it's so simple and easy
to create but it looks a lot more complex than what it actually is.
So as you can see I'm just working my way down up I've speed this up a little bit here
so that we can get through this bit nice and quickly
as you can see I put them as I go along but the end up I really adjust them
as I want them
because you can obviously tighten them up again if you pull it out too loose
and because you're not actually taking the ponytails themselves
you've made into the next ponytail. These are kind of loose
but they sit underneath so they all overlap each other.
So once you've adjusted them
and you've got them exactly how you want them. If you have any shorter ends
in your hair. So it's not shoulder-length
I suggest just this style is the best for shoulder-length hair and longer
you may want to pin some smaller sections at the back underneath. Literally just get a couple of
bobby pins
and sort of thread them through the hair and push upwards. And these are sort of hidden within the hair
the hair
No one can see them, no one knows they're there, and
you know they keeping your hair in place throughout the day. Because on your wedding day you
want to your hair to be held in place.
That's the finish look, as you can see once it's done. I will turn around to show you. The side as you can see
looks just like a really loose fishtail braid but it's a lot more secure
secure because of all those hairbands
and obviously, as I said my hair is a little bit short for this style unfortunately
but can pin the back so it close up, it's hidden
everything it's hidden, there is no clip showing and you've got really elegant look for your wedding day.
