Okay, let's talk about how to deal with Jacks to Open. The very first thing I want to say
is that this game often includes one joker. Now, this is played, this is played as what
is called a bug. Which is a type of wild card and the way it can be played is in most of
the time if you receive it, it's played as an ace. But it can also be played to complete
a straight or a flush and that is it. So, we're going to mix that into our deck and
shuffle up.
Now, to play the game with blinds or antes, what do you say we play with an ante? We'll
call it one red chip from everyone. Run out five cards to everyone, we'll do this four-handed.
Everyone looks at their hand and decides how they like it. This person has a pair of fours.
He checks, you have queen high, you check, there's a hand that's ace high, this player
checks. Here's the deal, you have to check unless you have a pair of jacks or better.
I have ace high and because I cannot bet, then everybody's hand goes in the muck and
we have to re-ante, re-shuffle and re-deal. We'll go into that in the next segment.
