PAM PROCTOR: Even though the
demographics indicate that the number of high school graduates has perhaps peaked, or is
going to peak and has been declining until around 2014 or 2015, the reality is, parents
have gotten much more savvy - parents and students have gotten much more savvy about
the college admissions process - they're prepping for tests like they never did before,
they're researching colleges in ways they never have before and applying all over the
country. The other important trend is internationalism. Most colleges are recruiting heavily. The
international pressure is going to continue to be there, so I see competition, particularly
at the top schools, as hanging in there for quite a while.
