How do you choose a database? First, go to the library homepage. Then, click "Databases
A-Z." Each database covers one or more academic disciplines. To see more information about
a database, click the "i." What perspective or discipline covers your topic? If your question
is, "What are the benefits of a neighborhood putting in a dog park?" your topic might fall
under urban planning, recreation, animal rights, veterinary science, or psychology. You can
sort the list of databases using the drop down "subject" box. Academic Search Premier
appears on most of the subject lists because it's a general academic database that covers
most of the major disciplines. Four our topic about dog parks, it's a good place to start.
