Now I'm going to tell you how to put together a basic tool kit. The most important items
are your personal protection equipment; your earmuffs for protecting your hearing, your
dust mask for protecting your breathing, and your eye protection most important of all.
Here are two saws that you will need; a hand saw for cutting timber and a hacksaw for cutting
metal. An essential tool is the spirit level for leveling both horizontally and vertically.
The hammer, the universal tool. And now we have screwdrivers. It's important to have
a straight head and a Phillips head screwdriver and we have these in a selection of sizes.
And for all your measuring jobs around the home the ever important tape measure, in both
imperial and metric measure.
A shifting spinner for tightening nuts and bolts. A chisel for various woodworking applications.
Pliers for gripping and cutting. And the combination square for both 90 degree and 45 degree angles.
A utility knife with a retractable blade and always when using it cut away from you. And
a clamping device to use as a second pair of hands. That's your basic tool kit. If you
have any further inquiries, talk to a Bunnings team member.
