Hi! I’m Brian from Close To My Heart.
Today I’ll show you how easy it is to change the feel of a
stamp set just by changing the colors that you use.
I'm the father of twins—a boy and a girl—
so versatility is really important at our house.
These are my cute kids, Parker and Emily. You’ll see how these
are both the same layout using the same stamp images,
but each one has unique feel all its own based
almost entirely on the colors that were used.
This is something you can do, too, with just a little imagination.
So, when you see a dinosaur stamp set, like this
My Acrylix® Roar! set, you automatically think little boy, right?
So naturally, it works great on Parker’s page, in this
blue, brown, green, and orange color combination.
But, by simply changing the colors, using various shades of pink,
Emily’s page gets a look all of her own using the same images.
Changing a few embellishments, like this Bling button, and
adding some sparkles makes this page look undeniably feminine.
Of course you can go the other way as well.
In this layout, stamped images from a more feminine stamp set,
called Princess Wings, were used to make a boy page.
These wings and this crown were stamped in more masculine colors
like blue, silver, and black and paired with more masculine colors
like orange and red. The end effect looks very masculine,
and you end up getting more use out of your stamp sets this way.
You can see from these pages how easy it is to change the feel
of a stamp set by changing up your color combination and
thinking outside the box.
