My name is Nadia and I'm a previous patient here at Kindred in Fairhill. Almost a year
ago I got really sick and I was diagnosed with pancreatitis. I was in University and
I was in a coma for like a month and when I came out of the coma I still needed care
and you know there's a limit you can stay in a regular hospital so they sent me over
here to Kindred. I was here from January until August 1st. When I first got here I was scared.
I couldn't move. I couldn't walk. I couldn't talk. I had a trach. I couldn't move my arms.
Very scary.
But, the care here was excellent. They got me back to myself. The therapy team is great.
They got me back up, walking, moving. I got my trach out. I can walk again. I'm still
walking with a walker but my therapist is trying to wean me off of that. So, I can move,
I can do all the things...move my hands, cook, back to normal, doing what I do. I'm a nail
tech I'm back doing that. So, I would say I'm 90% there thanks to Kindred. I would recommend
it to anyone. I talk about Kindred all the time.
