The symptom that I had was nose bleeds and then I went to the doctor,
to check what was causing that,
and come to find out that I had an MRI and they found a brain tumor,
and after the brain tumor, one of the doctors that I had, Dr. Heartgraves,
he told me, he said well, you're going down to Washington DC and have the CyberKnife,
because we don't want anything to go wrong with this.
The doctor down there, he checked over the tumor,
and he said well, you're a candidate for the CyberKnife.
I didn't know what the CyberKnife was but he explained everything to me,
and he took me down and showed the machine to me,
and I said that's pretty awesome and he said yes it is,
and he said yes, you're going to be on the CyberKnife,
we're going to start you with the treatment,
we're going to give you 5 treatments that will last about 45 minutes,
and I said ok, let's do that.
They put me on the table, about half an hour to 45 minutes,
I got off the table and I said is that all there is?
I couldn't believe that I felt so good when I left the table,
I was able to walk away.
Raymond and I found out about the prostate cancer which was in 2008.
This was the second time when we had the use of the CyberKnife,
and we were more confident because we knew,
that it was going to definitely, you know,
be something that was going to help my husband,
and there was no doubt in our mind where we were going to go.
We knew we were going to go to Georgetown University,
back to talk with the doctors and the doctor told us,
that the CyberKnife would be the best thing for us to do,
and that's exactly what we did.
We went there and they treated Raymond and we were very pleased with the outcome of it,
and today he's walking around and happy as can be.
