Today on this 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 4-door crew cab, we will be installing a Rhino Rack
2500 roof rack system with the HD bars. Once we have the crossbar assemblies put together,
we are ready to mount the front crossbar. We will open the front door on both the driver
and passenger side of the truck and lay our crossbars into position. We will need to measure
from the center of the door seam to the center of the front crossbar. This measurement on
this vehicle needs to be 9-27/32 inches. Once we have the front crossbar placed in position,
we can begin tightening it down. With our front crossbar tightened down, we can now
place and potion the rear. 0:52 To position our rear crossbar, we will measure
31-1/2 inches from the center of the front to the center of the rear. With our rear crossbar
in position, we will repeat the same tightening procedure. With our rear crossbar positioned
and tightened down, we can go ahead and install the door covers. The door covers are protected
with a key lock that will prevent access for undoing the hardware that secures the rack
to the roof of the vehicle. That does it for the Rhino Rack 2500 with HD crossbars on our
2007 GMC Sierra 1500 4-door crew cab.
