Tip:
Highlight text to annotate it
X
so lastly, we're going to work on a
basic item
so we're going to go back to new
content
we're going to click on add new
if you don't see this whole
list of items, make sure that you expand it and then click
basic
so basic, you can think of it almost like
a basic
page doesn't have any structure whatsoever
so in this case it'll be our welcome text
so in the title
go ahead and type in "welcome"
ok the brief text
is text that appears either when you're looking through items and
clicking them through to my content
and they appear there but they also appear like in the newspapers where you
get to get a little section of it
and then it points you to the full text
so that's how brief text works but
where you actually want to fill it out is the full text so this is where you
gonna
either copy and paste your full content
for your welcome text
so in the full text box go ahead and open your word document that contains
your welcome information
copy from there
and it has to be copied in a specific way
I mean pasted in specific way so you are going to copy the text
and you're going to use if you're copying from word it's
important to use the paste from word icon first because it cleans up the text
word contains a lot of
code that we don't really see, but it messes things up
and so, click that and use your control V keys
to paste the content
we're copying from word
and now it's going to clean up the text that we got from word and we're going to
insert it
okay so now it's inserted here so this is clean text
and we're going to save it
