It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart.
Without saying a word, you can light up the dark.
Try as I may, I could never explain what I hear when you don't say a thing.
The smile on your face lets me know that you need me.
There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me.
The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall.
When I feel your hand in mine and there's courage in my heart
We could live a hundred years,
Or the world could end tomorrow
But we know we'll be together in whatever time
Dave and Daniel will now pledge their vows to one another ...
if they don't fly away!
(Laughter)
You bring out the best in me, and I pledge to always be accepting of you.
You challenge me and make me grow, and I promise to be open to your insights.
You give me so much support in my hard times, and I will always reach out to you.
All that I have, and all that I desire, all that I love, I will share with you.
With these words that I tell you, my heart, mind and soul are filled with joy.
My love for you is undying, my commitment to you is unconditional,
and I will be your husband forever more.
Daniel, I stand beside you, prepared to share with you all I have:
My possessions, my heart, my soul, my life.
I promise to always listen to you, with my eyes, ears and heart.
I promise to never let any person, object, or goal be more important to me than you.
You have already made me a better man than I had ever dared imagine.
Your fiery determination and steadfast devotion are my constant inspiration.
I will stand by you through all the times of our life,
sharing in blessings and burdens we encounter,
always grateful that I will never have to know them alone.
You are and always will be my best friend and the one and only true love of my life
Daniel, I give you this ring as an everlasting symbol of the love and devotion and love you will always share.
This is gift to you from a man who loves you very much.
This is gift to you from a man who loves you very much.
In the words of Oscar Wilde:
"Love is fed by the imagination, by which we become wiser than we know,
better than we feel, nobler than we are; by which we can see life as a whole;
by which, and by which alone, we can understand others in their real,
as in their ideal relations."
As we release the spirits that we have called forth to celebrate with us,
I now, by the authority vested in me by the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches,
pronounce you, Dave and Daniel, forever joined in love and in life.
God bless you and be with you always.
You may now kiss the groom.

Go inside, you're freezing!
(cheering)
(more laughter)
(loud conversation) I'm glad you're here.
Thank you for enduring the cold!
(laughter)
We want our friends to find out that we've matched with people
individually as much as we have as a couple.
There's one other thing that we've meshed on that I wanted to give to my husband on our wedding day.
Something that we have always both enjoyed long before our relationship...

But there is a comic strip that is run weekly here in California
called Leonard and Larry.
Leonard and Larry is about two middle-aged men, one blonde and fury and the other dark and handsome,
who live together and try to make a life together as a gay couple,
with family and friends and the world kind of going crazy around them.
When I told the artist of this comic strip what was going to happen this weekend,
he donated the original artwork from when Larry, the blonde one, got on his knee and
proposed to Larry.
(applause)
(slow, romantic music)
I want a moment of silence & a moment of prayer
For the love we will need to make it in the world out there
To want what I have, to take what I am given with grace
For this I pray on my wedding day
(cheering)
(soft rock music)
