MARK BOHEN: I mentioned that we have a real focus on
innovation.
And so we're trying to enter new spaces that are growing.
So we've recently asked all of our businesses to spend time
generating new growth ideas focused on growing spaces and
growing industries where we can participate with our
specialized
business-to-business insurance model.
And so we're spending a lot of time looking at
those growth areas.
One in particular that we've spent a lot of time on is
wireless handset.
So we're in the warranty business, so we understand the
wireless consumer.
We understand the drivers of consumer behavior there.
And so a few years ago, we made a real push into the
wireless space.
And we're kind of taking how we thought about that and
looking for other growth industries where we could
bring our specialized B2B model.
The whole employer-employee landscape is changing.
With the new healthcare reform, the employer's role as
a provider of benefits--
not just health benefits, but dental benefits, life
insurance--
is going to be changing as well.
And so one of the big growth areas for our company and one
of our priorities is getting into what we call the
employee-paid space.
As cost pressures mount with employers, they will be
looking to put more of the cost burden on the employees.
And so we're really--
we've been studying that space for awhile.
We've introduced into that space.
We're introducing new products, new delivery models,
different enrollment capabilities to really become
a very large player in that space.
Because we think that that's going to go under tremendous
change over the next few years.
