Not only has Netflix stepped into enemy territory, it's now reportedly cavorting with said enemy.
The Wall Street Journal reports Netflix is pursuing cable TV deals. Sources say it would
work as an app on set-top boxes. (Via The Wall Street Journal)
The subscription-based online video service didn't just enter into the field of original
content. It burst onto the scene in 2013 with "House of Cards" picking up several Emmy nominations
and comedy "Orange is the New Black" getting lots of love through social media. (Via YouTube

That kind of success typically proves both hard to compete with and impossible to ignore.
But Bloomberg sources say announcement of any potential new deal is still months away.
It reports cable providers with TiVo boxes are most receptive and, "The talks suggest
cable operators increasingly see Netflix's $7.99 monthly service as a tool to attract
and retain customers, rather than a threat." (Via Bloomberg)
So you're saying online video services seem to be the wave of the future. We tend to agree.
