[music, female narrator] Welcome to This Week @Minnesota.
[male narrator] President Eric Kaler visited southern Minnesota

Farmfest is the state's largest farm-related gathering
and Kaler took the opportunity to check

and climb into an ethanol race car.
Thursday, head football coach Jerry Kill held a preseason
press conference to preview his first training camp.
[Jerry Kill] You know, everybody wants to put wins and losses
and things of that nature, but where we're
at in our program right now, we have, um...
We're starting from the ground up to where we need
from an academic standpoint, from an APR standpoint,
from an investment standpoint.
You know, we have work to do.
So, we just got to get better every day.
[male narrator] Practice will start Monday at TCF Bank Stadium
and is open to the public.
Also on Thursday,
U of M researchers announced the discovery that could help
in the fight against foodborne illness.
