The most affecting stories are said to be written by life. But does that still hold
true? Does that still hold true in a world, in which we prefer to live on the Internet?
In a world, in which you create contacts and relationships with just one click? Far off
from every reality? How real and profound are the relationships with those 342 Facebook
friends each of us has got on average? And with how many of those so-called friends do
we write affecting stories? In the past, many things used to be different. In the past,
you simply met outside and did whatever you wanted to do. There was no specific plan,
you simply did. Nobody had the urge to impress other people or to show off. But what are
we surprised about in a world in which sympathy and acceptance is measured in followers and
likes? Yet, they do still exist -- the kind of people whose lives write the most affecting
stories. Let us shut down Facebook, Twitter and all the other social networks for a while.
Let us put away our smartphones and start doing things without a specific plan again.
Let us let our lives write affecting stories again.
