Do not use these instructions for a Deakin Desktop computer.
This service is installed differently on staff and student lab workstations.
Only do this if you wish to print at Deakin from a Windows computer, that is not managed by Deakin eSolutions.
Before using these instructions, ensure that you are connected to the Deakin network.
If you're not on a Deakin campus, establish a secure connection to the Deakin network using Junos Pulse.
Go to the Deakin Software Library at: www.deakin.edu.au/software.
Click Office Applications.
Under the Printers sub-heading select, PaperCut Print Client.
Select and download the PaperCut Installer for Windows.
Enter your Deakin username and password, to download the installer.
Click Save File.
Go to your downloads folder and Run the Papercut installer.
Click Next.
Click Install.
Click Finish.
After a short while the Client installer will run. Click Next.
Accept the Licence Agreement and click Next again.
Click Next again.
And again.
Click Install.
Click Finish.
You can enter your Deakin Username and password in the Login dialogue for future use and click OK.
The client will now launch on your desktop.
Open a new Windows Explorer window. This can be done by selecting 'Computer' from the Start menu.
Type the printer queue address that corresponds with your campus, into the address bar, and hit Enter.
Enter your Deakin username and password when prompted.
Please type D U\ before your username, to ensure you authenticate against the correct domain.
The new printer should now be setup on your computer.
Repeat the install print queue steps if you want to add a print queue for a different campus.
To manage your print jobs go to: print.deakin.edu.au
