As a national collective of Canadian artists,
Tribe of One honours UNESCO's investment in our lives,
allowing us to invest in the lives of others.
"Tonight!"
"I think UNESCO is one of those rare organizations that does
value culture, they do value creating inclusive environments,
they do value diversity, they do promote those values
that we so need in our world right now."
"UNESCO values the diversity of languages and cultures.
This has encouraged me to incorporate my Ojibway/Metis
heritage in my music. "
The things that I stand for, the things that I contribute
to with the idea of Tribe of One really sits
in conjunction with UNESCO.
When I think about the things that UNESCO are involved with
and the ideas, it's the humane part of having the ability
to humble yourself so that you can better gain
and produce such high level of hope.
I appreciate UNESCO valuing women in the international
community on an equal level, finding their voice
in the culture, in the art world.
I draught like a course, a Swedish course,
and then UNESCO made my wage to Sweden.
UNESCO opened a big age in my life, to the success.
The Tribe of One, it's just so fluid and allows you to run
in and out and you have no idea where one stops and one ends.
Why? Because they are just so closely interconnected and it
is the basis of all roots of origine that carry truth
and that is why Tribe of One is really great at what they do,
and I really think that when we get to the origin of truth,
it's to be humane, and that really sits in conjunction
with UNESCO's concept.
Tribe of One is really excited to have this opportunity
to work with UNESCO, because we share these value with you,
for culture, we share these values for empowering
young kids, for creating inclusive environments and we're
excited about the opportunities we have had to date,
but we are ecstatic about looking to the future and saying
"There is nothing that we like to do more".
Finally, I want to thank UNESCO for giving a voice
to all minorities like myself.
So, here's to the future, you know,
here's to the future of a couple of organisations that I think
have a lot in common and, I can't wait to see
where we go from here!
