LAUREN GOTTLIEB: So you may have seen the pilot last
spring or the holiday special before Thanksgiving.
Well now, the season is back in full gear.
In the show, I help out Nappytabs.
I pretty much assist them with the 1,000 people that
show up that day.
And I choreograph all of our Mobsters into the routine.
And today, I have Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo with me, the
stars of the show.
[LAUGHTER]
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: So tell me a little bit about how crazy
last episode was.
TABITHA D'UMO: I think there's never an
episode that isn't crazy.
And you know, because we drag you into the chaos with us.
There's always a mad rush for the finish line.
There's always way too many big ideas that we want to
dream up and try to accomplish.
But we simplified it.
And sometimes I think less is more.
And it worked to our advantage.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Definitely.
I mean, it's hard.
You have to think big, I think.
And then you get there.
And you're like, show starts in an hour,
and we're not done.
So you've got to do what you've got to do.
How surprised do you think Dana was?
TABITHA D'UMO: Oh, I think she was really surprised.
I think that, when everybody started dancing around her and
then she was making her journey, that she just thought
maybe it was some kind of random television show.
But then, when we threw her in the elevator--
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Oh, God.
[LAUGHS]
TABITHA D'UMO: That was the best and really
threw her off guard.
And that reveal, when you get down to the bottom level with
all those dancers, for me, that was a cool moment.
NAPOLEON D'UMO: And I think what's funny is, Howie Mandel,
he likes to go over the top.
So as soon as he found out that she has a fear of
elevators, he said, throw her in the elevator.
[LAUGHTER]
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: How mean is that?
But it's amazing.
[LAUGHTER]
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Good TV.
Good TV.
NAPOLEON D'UMO: Exactly.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: I think one of the biggest moments of it
was the theme of it.
TABITHA D'UMO: Mm-hm.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: I think it really came off, because she
knew it was about.
TABITHA D'UMO: Yes.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: The movie, Big Fish.
TABITHA D'UMO: It was a field of daffodils.
And that was our umbrellas, the yellow daffodils.
And he really stood there--
Ewan McGregor, I think, in the film-- stood there and said,
will you be mine?
And this was the same scenario.
NAPOLEON D'UMO: As well as when everything stops, time
stands still when you see the love of your life.
And everybody froze.
And he came through playing the guitar.
That was the favorite moment of mine.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Oh, yes.
Great moments.
TABITHA D'UMO: They were touching moments, yeah.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Yeah.
A couple of these in the season, yeah.
