For as long as there have been dance floors there has been the beat that is called four
to the floor. This is probably the simplest beat you'll ever find anywhere ever, anyone
can do it. You could probably do it without me having told you how to do it. Right there
that is your four to the floor drum beat. Simple, driving, and often times considered
boring, but when you're on the dance floor and you're really just getting into dancing
and you're not really concerned about the music as a whole you're really only concerned
about the beat. So, when you're writing a beat for dance clubs and house parties and
all this sort of stuff you have to realize that complexity works if you're in the music
theory environment, but simple but good works in using four to the floor. This sort of stuff,
like; you could use different kick samples. You know, but it really it's always just the
same beat which is four to the floor.
