Well recently I just graduated from my highschool
And thought I’d try and do something with my life
So I went out and enrolled myself in some higher education
But the lack of money was causing me some strife
So I took my car on a trip to the bank
Went up to the door I was pretty frank
And told ‘em about my plight
Well the teller he just looked at me, eyeing me, up and down
Then stopped. And said you alright.
Well I left that bank with a big old grin
Cause now I can get my education
So I can find a place some books and a phone
All because of my student loan
Now as the months passed by that loan dried up
Ended up getting pretty stuck with no money
Tried to find employment
but the job markets about as dry as my loan
On account of the economy
So I’m sitting here, drowning in debt
I’ll tell you something don’t you ever forget
If you need cash, books, home, or telephone
Pay up front don’t get a student loan.
