Hello. It's that time of year again when federal employees have the chance to make a real impact
in their communities.
The Combined Federal Campaign helps out the vast network of deserving nonprofit organizations
around the country that urgently need our help.
This year's theme is "Make It Possible." It’s a call to action that motivates all of us
to share our blessings with others and to make our communities better.
Each one of us has the capacity to help the charities of our choice achieve a broader
impact in the coming year and address the issues that matter most to us.
The process, as always, is painless. The key workers in your office can give you all the
information you need, and once you send in your pledge, they do the rest. It's a flexible
way to donate, and every gift counts no matter the size.
• There's a huge catalog of nonprofits from which to choose. So this year as you begin
to contemplate holiday shopping, why not shop for a charity or two to support.
Each member of the NASA Family, no matter where you work, has a role in NASA's contribution
to the CFC, and I'll be joining you in supporting several charities that have personal meaning
to me.
In these times where so many things can seem uncertain, it's a testament to the NASA Family's
character and team spirit that you have always been strong supporters of this annual event
where federal workers give back to the people and causes that are most important to them.
I am so proud of all of you who joined me in supporting the CFC last year, and I send
my deepest thanks to last year's key workers, who helped us achieve a very high level of
giving.
Again this year, I want to ensure that every single employee has had the chance to speak
with a key worker about CFC. It's that important. Let them know your questions, and open your
door to them when they provide you the information about this year’s campaign.
I urge every employee to take part in the CFC this year and help us once again show
how much NASA makes a difference not only in space, but right here on Earth.
Thank you.
