The train takes about four minutes to reach the Fillmore Station. It passes through four
intersections, one private road, and one pedestrian crossing. If you’re driving your car across
Mission Street, Hope Street, Grevillea Street, the Pasadena Power Plant, East Glenarm Street,
you need to wait behind the keep clear line and never stop on the tracks.
Pedestrians need to wait until the train passes before they cross the tracks. Cars traveling
east on Mission Street need to make sure that they do not stop in the keep clear zone. The
light could turn red, and you could find yourself on the tracks or having the gates come down
on your car. Cars on Meridian Street turning right on Mission need to make sure that they
wait behind the keep clear line. At Grevillea and Freemont Street, we need to make sure
that the cars wait behind the keep clear lines until it is safe to cross the street.
If you’re making a right from Freemont onto Grevillea, make sure you cross while the arms
are up and no train is coming. If the arms start to come down while you’re waiting
to safely make your turn, proceed through the intersection. It’s very important the
pedestrians crossing the tracks at Fillmore Street look both ways before they cross the
track. This building creates a challenge to our train operators, and if you cross the
track when the bells and signals are going, you might have an accident.
