Corruption
The spread of the phenomenon of corruption in Iraq
The spread of the phenomenon of corruption in Iraq
is the result of a combination of factors including the absence of state prestige
government power and centralized authority
it is also the result of sectarian allotment of power
government ministers were neither appointed nor chosen by the prime minister
they were imposed by their parties as their sectarian share
that is why the minister is accountable to his party and sect
and not to the prime minister, and this provides a cover for corruption
If we win these elections, God willing
first, we hope to restore the prestige of the central authority
and to the prime minister's position who is the primary executive person in the government
The current government is a failure
The experience of Mr. al-Maliki was not an impressive one
there is a clear loss of services;
there is an increase in the phenomenon of corruption;
The security dossier is red-hot and Iraqi blood is still being hemorrhaged
The national reconciliation dossier is still pending and has not moved one iota
Dealing with Iran
the current government cannot take a stand against Iran
because it contains parties that are Iranian-made and are fully funded by Iran
they are intellectually, philosophically and ideologically connected
the majority of these parties have historical ties with Iran
indeed, some of them were made and are still fully funded by Iran
it is very unlikely that we would see these parties making any stand against Iranian influence
or consider Iranian influence a bad thing
they even think it is religiously, ideologically and historically necessary
that is why I don't count on seeing or hearing a stand against Iran
coming from this government that is tied to Iran
we are awaiting change with the arrival of a real Iraqi government
that can stand in the face of every bad influence in IRaq
and can defend the rights of Iraq and Iraqis
a government that can restore the dignity and sovereignty of Iraq and Iraqis
a government that can restore the dignity and sovereignty of Iraq and Iraqis
a government that can restore the dignity and sovereignty of Iraq and Iraqis
that is something this government is unable to provide
we are waiting for an Iraqi government that emanates from the core of the populace
and that can provide what this government could not
the place of religion
exploiting the religious and sectarian card led the IRaqi society
exploiting the religious and sectarian card led the IRaqi society
to the kiln of civil war, or the threshold of civil war
those advocates of sectarianism, sectarian cantons and sectarian hatred
those who say we and the other, and don't say we are the sons of one homeland
one nation, one people, one land; we share one destiny
those who tried to break up the Iraqi society into sects, tribes, and ethnic and sectarian regions
those who tried to break up the Iraqi society into sects, tribes, and ethnic and sectarian regions
those are more dangerous than any foreign enemy
What makes you angry about Iraq today?
it is the widespread hunger among people and the violated dignity; to see people living
in rubble, in garbage! This is a violation of human dignity
that people are starving to death in an oil count! That is a disaster!
Iraqis need and deserve a better life
and that is what makes me sad inside
a message to all our youth
I tell them this is your country' Iraq is your country and the future is yours, you make it
You are not less important than the youth in the surrounding and neighboring Arab countries
You are not less important than the youth in the surrounding and neighboring Arab countries
you are not less important than the European or American youth or anywhere else
you deserve decent opportunities in life and work
you have the right to build your homes and achieve your goals
You have the future in your hands; you will make it and you are capable of change, no one else can force it on you
You can change your circumstances and this tragedy is afflicting your families and country in their entirety
Uniting our people together
I see no difference between the Christian, Kurdish, Shiite and Sunni poor. Poverty is the same
Nor do I see a difference between any mother who lost her son
whether she is Kurdish, Turkmen, Arab, Sunni or Shiite
A bereaved mother is the same and shares the same feelings with the wife who lost her husband
I do not think there was a civil war in Iraq in all of our history extending over ten thousand years
Iraq has always been multicultural, multiethnic with sectarian diversity
Iraq has always been multicultural, multiethnic with sectarian diversity
all were living harmoniously in Mesopotamia's embrace
So if we succeed in protecting the interest of every single Iraqi and in providing security to every individual Iraqi
their dignity and livelihood; then we will achieve dignity, respect and sovereignty for Iraq
The job of the Iraqi government
The government serves the people and does not rule them. We want a government that provides services
not a government that gives orders. We do not want a military government that is violent and determined to destroy the will of its people
We want a government that lives for its people and not the opposite
The future of our children
I know a family in Baghdad who has a little girl, maybe three years old or even younger
she can distinguish among the sounds of explosions; she would say that this is a mortar, a ***-trap bomb or even a shell
that is even before learning how to speak normally
She knew the sounds and would tell her mother that this is a mortar when she hears it
We are in a period in which we are afflicted by violence, terrorism, *** and destruction
whether in the pointless wars that the former regime led, or in this global war taking place on Iraqi land
That is why the Iraqi government should in this period take care of children, women, widows and young people
so that they can stand up and serve themselves, their families and their country
Ahrar: freedom for all Iraqis
Sunnis, Shiites, Arabs, Kurds are all part of Ahrar
They share the same aspirations of a decent free life and security
They aspire to build their homes and protect their children
They all aspire to protect women, widows, the elderly and the disabled
They are all Ahrar and desire a free, decent life
Message to all Iraqis: It is time to change
I am sure that there is no difference in the love of Iraq inside the hearts of Iraqis
whether they live in New Zealand, Australia, America, Europe, or in neighboring countries
They are all attached to Iraq
Had the country been safe and stable and the minimum level of services been provided
such as hospitals, schools, kindergartens, you would have seen them all return to Iraq
They are all experienced people and full of energy. The Iraqi minds emigrated and their capital emigrated too
It is known that countries are built with minds, capital and young professional labor
If the Iraqis do not participate in changing their country then who will make that change?
They must participate in the elections; this is their natural right
It is not a duty, it is a right; the right of each IRaqi is to participate in these elections in order to change his country for the better
If the Iraqis do not participate in changing their country then who will make that change?
Iraqis are capable of making that change, whether they live inside Iraq or outside the country
there is no difference in that, together
