It was in '93 or '94,
Roland-Garros gave out telephone cards to the players.
Players' "Mum"
We gave them one card each per week.
For the next 3 days Gustavo Kuerten came back to get more cards
then on the 4th day I said to him:
"I can't be giving you a card every day! What about the others?"
And he said: "But my family is a long way away!"
And it lasted until the 15th day because he won the tournament!
But the last morning when he asked me for another card, he said:
"Well today is the last time as I'll be leaving, whether I win or lose."
Roland-Garros is not only the story of two players. It's a story that belongs to everyone.
Then he came with his mother, brother and sister and said:
"You see, it's thanks to this lady that I could call you every day!"
