Hi, I'm Olga with Grocery Coupon Network and today I'm talking about couponing at CVS.
There's a lot of ways to save money at CVS, and this information will give you a great
start.
So the first thing you want to do is CVS is get yourself a CVS ExtraCare card. You can
sign up for this in-store or online, and it will allow you to get sale prices at CVS and
take advantage of their extra care bucks promotions. So what are ExtraCare bucks? They're CVS rewards
that give you money back to spend at CVS on your next purchase, with a few exclusions.
ExtraCare bucks are available every week at CVS, and you can find them in CVS' weekly
ad. To receive ExtraCare bucks, just buy the product advertised, as an ExtraCare product,
and your ExtraCare bucks will print out at the bottom of your receipt. You can also stack
coupons at CVS and still get an ExtraCare buck reward for that item. For more information
on coupon stacking, see our coupon stacking video. But you are able to do this at CVS,
which can lead up to great savings there.
So I have an example here of an item that I purchased yesterday at CVS, and I stacked
a manufacturer coupon with it. So here you have a Schick Hydro razor. You pay $8.49.
You get a $3.00 ExtraCare bucks back. I purchased this razor, and I purchased it using a manufacturer
coupon for a free Schick razor that I received from the Schick Facebook page on a promotion
that they were running from their Facebook page. So for more information on couponing
at Facebook, see our couponing Facebook video. But you can get a lot of great deals there.
So I used that free coupon on this offer, and I received this item for free, and then
I also received a $3.00 ExtraCare bucks back. So, instead of just getting a free product,
I now made $3.00 on the product. And I can now use this CVS reward on other items at
CVS that I need to purchase, which is a great way to take advantage of ExtraCare bucks at
CVS.
So another great thing about ExtraCare bucks at CVS is that every three months, they will
give you 2 percent back on every purchase in-store or online. And this will print up
on the bottom of your receipt as well, just like your -- as an ExtraCare buck. But that
happens every three months, and it's a great way to, you know, make some money on things
that you're buying anyway. There's also a CVS coupon machine in store. It looks like
a price checker. Bring your ExtraCare card, scan it as many times as you need to for it
to say that that all the coupons have printed. And you can get some great CVS store coupons
there that you can also stack with manufacturer coupons. There's also the ExtraCare beauty
club. This is a promotion that -- they link this beauty club to your ExtraCare card, and
it will give you great deals on beauty club products. You'll get 10 percent off of your
beauty, with a beauty shopping pass when you first enroll. And then you get $5.00 in ExtraCare
bucks for every $5.00 you spend on beauty. You'll also get $3.00 ExtraCare bucks on your
birthday. So some items that qualify as beauty items are cosmetics, skin care, hair care,
hair color, things like that. You can also do buy one/get one at CVS where you stack
the CVS buy one/get one manufacturer buy one/get one coupon, and then you get two items for
free, which is pretty cool.
When you're ready to check out at CVS, it's important to give them all of your coupons
and savings cards and all of that in the right order to maximize your savings. So the first
thing you're going to want to do is give them your ExtraCare card. Then you would give them
any money-off store coupons. Sometimes they email you coupons like for $4.00 off of a
$20.00 purchase. You would use that one next. And then you would use CVS store coupons,
then your manufacturer coupons, and, last but not least, you would use your ExtraCare
bucks rewards.
So if you do it in that order, you'll maximize your savings when you're checking out at CVS.
You also want to make sure that you printout your CVS coupon policy and have it with you,
so that you can refer to it. Because all stores coupon policies are a little bit different,
and you want to make sure that, you know, you're doing everything that you need to do
to save your money. And one last thing on your ExtraCare card to remember is that your
ExtraCare bucks promotions are linked to your individual card. So if there is a limit on
your promotion, like, it says I can only buy one of these razors and get one ExtraCare
buck offer, I can only use this card once to do that. I cannot buy multiple razors and
get multiple ExtraCare buck offers on that same item with this same card. So that's an
important thing to note about CVS. So get your ExtraCare card and start raking any the
deals at CVS.
