Today's lesson is on how to add, resize, and position an image to a Word 2007 or 2010
document First open up Microsoft Word
I will add a small amount of text......."Puppies are cute"
Navigate to the"Insert" tab at the top For this example, select "Clip Art." The
clip art pane will open Search for "puppy"
A list of thumbnail previews will be generated Rolling over the thumbnail will reveal details
about the clip art (size, category) Select an image of choice by either clicking
the preview or by choosing "insert" from the drop down near the preview
The image I selected is too large and I can't position it on the page where I want
First, I will resize the image. Images generally have eight "handles"
The four corner handles will increase or decrease the size of the image proportionally
The top and bottom handles stretch or shrink the image vertically. The left and right handles
stretch or shrink the image horizontally. ************************************************************************************
Next, I will position image When you double-click the image, the picture
tool bar will appear. It probably appeared when you first inserted your image. If it
disappears, double-click the image again. In the top-right there is a "Position"
icon. When you choose the drop down, nie basci position
choice will be presented. Selecting any one of them allows you to move the image anywhere
on the page you'd like. So as you can tell, adding resizing, positioning
an image is easy . In our next lesson we will look at some picture editing options in Word
