Okay, in this drill, Gary is going to move into the front corner, off my dropped volley,
and hit the ball back to me. So, what this drill is really great for is A, I as the ball
feeder, I'm going to work on my dropped volley, and Gary's get to get to work on his straight
drive. So we're going to go at a moderate pace. I mean, we can up the pace a little
bit if we want, but you want to keep it in play so we can develop a rhythm, so let's
see how we do. So you look how Gary gets his racquet ready, hits the ball very powerful
and very low, and you see how I just take the ball, and I just open up the face, and
I just pop it back on the wall. So you see how Gary gets good extension on his shot,
and he uses his legs. That's a good shot Gary. He uses his legs, his upper body; he gets
the racquet up quickly. And I'm doing all I can just to handle the shot. So, this is
a really good practice drill. It's much more tiring than it looks, especially for the player
hitting the straight drives. So, racquet ready. So, that's the straight drop volley off the
straight drive, a very valuable drill. It works on everything for both players. Then
what you do is you switch.
