What do fitness models really eat?
Whatever allows them to maintain that glorious figure.
I’ve heard stories of fitness models living off protein bars, smoothies, all fruit and
nut diets, junk food and everything in between.
Fitness models eat as healthy as any other gym rat.
In order to be fitness models, they have to be doing something better than everyone else.
They may eat specific foods because that is what they are paid to endorse. In which case,
they’ll eat that particular protein bar or drink that shake.
Which they probably get by the case. I’ve heard how they often eat super-foods like
acai berry and pomegranate.
There are nutrient dense foods – but so are most fruits and vegetables. The only thing
that makes them super is the advertising campaign behind them.
So there is no super food that fitness models eat.
No such thing as a super food, though a spoon full of sugar is practically a super-villain
when it comes to your metabolism.
Eating a cup of lard is almost as bad.
Not all fats are bad. Eating nuts like walnuts or peanuts provides a good source of protein
and healthy fats.
But not butter or margarine.
Trans-fats aren’t as evil as they are made out to be, while dairy isn’t as good as
it seems.
Everything’s bad for you. What can we eat?
In general, a lot less. Or, at least, less junk food.
I bet fitness models stay away from it.
They certainly do substitutions more like yogurt with fruit and chocolate chips instead
of cosmopolitan ice cream or chicken grilled with lemon juice and olive oil instead of
greasy fish filets. But mostly, they workout to burn calories instead of starving themselves
to be thin.
Hence the term, fitness models, not diet models.
