Walking through this world was truly traumatic for me. The sense of complete alienation, hopeless unawareness and total oblivion only
intensified my fear and they were with me at every step. At the earliest opportunity of my consternation appeared an interesting side
effect of Instinct, which did what it wanted. I know that at the first events, which required at least a hint of thought and calculation,
I was swept away by primitive behaviours. Common sense against the impulses of survival? In the context of a civilization that has
ceased to exist, the question seems to be very interesting. Okay, enough philosophy for now, what happened next?
Buildings scared with their dirty facades. Here and there broken windows with ragged curtains looking outside. Doors boarded up.
Streets littered with trash, papers. Smells that made me sick. An early decomposition - this is the best description of what I’ve seen
since the Awakening. I've seen some strange paintings on many walls. Inscriptions. I think... I forgot how to read. But somewhere in
this whole pile of garbage must be some information about what happened. The damage is rather general, superficial and it
also makes me wonder. The buildings are in good shape. The more I'm afraid of causes of the current situation...
The path I have chosen ran down the street. I did not expect any threats. But my Instinct did - it warned me. And so it happened. It was
shortly after the Awakening, a small piece of road was behind me, when first sound came to my ears. It made my blood curdle. Danger!
Instinct got mad. I crouched down and waited. My heart was beating fast and loud. I remember that. As it soon turned out, it was not
a single sound, but two sounds. They were coming from a distance. It was an animal. And a man.
Such thinking, remembering facts, calms me down. It's a good sign.
This is the only action that helps me. And help is probably the last thing I can count on in this world
Thus, a man and an animal. The animal must have been hungry, it was really loud barking. The man was much like me. Oh, I almost forgot
that I was not able to speak shortly after the Awakening. It was interesting as well. This man also didn‘t produce sounds that would
resemble a speech. The sounds were inarticulate. Moans, screams. When I think about it now, it seems to me that he was more
scared than I was. Well, I think he had the right to be scared. I was not attacked by any wild dog.
Frightened to death I went to the place from where I saw the whole thing. The man had an object in his hand and tried to chase their
animal away with it. But it looked like the animal was not afraid of it at all. This monster was big, black and massive. I associate
the sounds produced by that animal. Wait a moment... after all, it was a... was... four legs, fur, barking... dog! Wild dog!
I had a choice. The situation called for a rapid but constructive decision and I was not able to think at all.
My Instinct, however, was much faster. Before I could understand what is really going on, my legs have led me...
1) ...in the direction of the nearest building. I ran away. Fight with that dog would be a madness, the monster was really big! Instinct... if only I could disown you!
2) This choice will appear in a future update :)
