Hi! I am Jason Wyatt head golf professional here at Sunningdale Golf and Country Club
and on behalf of ExpertVillage.com, I am here today to show you how to finish the proper
golf swing. What we are going to do again is I am a right-handed player, but again you
are a lefty at home watching this tip, you are a mirror image of me. The follow through
is very key in the golf swing, if we do not follow through our golf shot, we can hit the
golf ball to the right to the left very easily and most important thing is following through
and committing to your golf shot. So I set up, we talked about the back swing, we are
through the forward swing, when we get to the finish there is a couple of key points
that you want to have, one, all of our weight on the front foot, okay, that’s is the biggest
key we have got all the weight, we have committed all the weight to our front foot, secondly
our back foot, our toe is in the ground and our heel is pointing up to the sky. Once again
that just shows me that I have committed all the weight to the front of my golf swing,
lastly when we make the follow through swing, want to make sure that my shoulders, my hips
and my face is pointing directly to my target and we create a straight line between my nose
and all the way down to my feet. What we do not want to see is a lot of people making
what we call a reverse C where they swing and all their weight on their back foot, that
is the wrong way to go about it, again make sure you have committed all the weight to
your front foot, heel up into the ground, good solid finish and you will hit better
golf shots.
