I started my business from scratch. My business has blossomed.
We’ve added about $2.2 million.
I’ve always wanted to be in business myself.
Allstate is the vehicle that made it happen for me.
Started out in about 2008, I got a phone call from an Allstate recruiter.
Asked me to attend one of their seminars.
After that seminar, I looked at different insurance companies,
like State Farm, Nationwide, even thought about going independent.
But at the end of the day, I went with Allstate
because as soon as you mention Allstate, people know who you are and what you represent.
I think the most important deciding factor for me to join Allstate
is the fact that Allstate allows you to own the economic interest of your book of business.
My son or my daughter wants to become an Allstate agent,
they can take over the broker business.
Allstate I would say has one of the best trainings.
I mean, the training that I went through was six weeks long.
If you would go out today and buy a franchise business,
you would most likely have to pay to go to one of their trainings. Allstate pays you.
I was really scared. I thought to myself, I said, “This is gonna be tough.
If everybody is struggling, how am I going to generate new business
for a new venture?” But to my pleasant surprise,
it actually became a really successful business.
My business has blossomed. It grew actually.
I was probably the #2 in my region in terms of the trajectory growth.
I have six full-time licensed producers in my office. I have two telemarketers that come in.
I think specialization is what made us successful and is what made us reach our goals.
I started my business from scratch, with zero in my book of business.
We’ve added about $2.2 million.
I’m hoping that we can double the size of our book.
I’m really hoping to get to a $5 million book and maybe opening up a second office.
