X Men adds a new face to Days of Future Past.... And Halle Berry finally speaks about her return
to the franchise.
Hey guys, I'm Melana Scantlin. Deadline.com has the details.
We already know that the X-Men: First Class sequel "Days of Future Past" is bringing
back some of the franchise's biggest stars, including Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Ian MacKellan
as Magneto, and Patrick Stewart's Professor X...in addition to First Class alums Jennifer
Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult.
But new faces are also stirring up excitement, including director Bryan Singer's latest
addition to the cast, French actor Omar Sy. Singer shared the news through Twitter, calling
the actor "brilliant" -- but kept Sy's role in the film a mystery for now.
Sy's most recognizable role to date was in last year's heartwarming film, The Intouchables
-- for which he received a number of awards.
Sy joins another newcomer, Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage -- whose character is
also unknown as of now.
And after weeks after speculation, Halle Berry confirms to Black Tree TV that she will return
as Storm.
X Men: Days of Future Past beings production this spring and is set to hit the box office
July 18, 2014.
