Today let's go ahead and log on to YouTube. What the duece?
"crying sound"
I saw it. I saw that it was you and you did it I'm a gonna barbeque your hide in molasses!
Ok so here we are. We are here at our inbox and you can pretty
much start this anywhere. What we are looking for is our settings page.
So you are going to go right there and then you are going to scroll down where
to the bottom to check your account status and this is where you are going to look.
As you can see, Community Guidelines you should have a red dot right there.
That is where we have it. Now in some cases you will see a link that
says "appeal this decision." Now some flags can be appealed
Some flags can not be appealed. Unfortunately, YouTube is not going to tell
me which is the case they base this on. It is just that some can and some can't.
But right here it gives you a warning "Only appeal if you think you got a shot."
You know it does encourages you to read the community guidelines
which I will be posting in the link down below you can scroll through it.
Also there is going to be a link down below on
"How to avoid flagging." Because there is a lot of common mistakes
that people make and they get flagged and they really don't know why.
I had a meeting back in 2011
With the Policy Enforcement Team and I posted something that is a response
to that meeting. I asked them,
"What is the most common things, common reasons for people to be flagged."
So make sure you read these communtiy guidelines that you know and understand them.
You know, so anyway, that is a good resource right there.
But here we are going to click on the Yes. Now here you only have a limited amount of space
Now I am going to be posting a link
because this flag appeal was successful. So you can actually see what I was appealing here.
And essentially what I am typing is basically
what the video was about and why I feel it did not violate
the terms of service or community guidelines.
Again you don't have a lot of space so you got to make sure that every word counts.
As you can see when we are writing through this some times you run out of room
So sometimes you have to edit things down. So anyway, once we are done you are going
to hit the appeal button. There you go, you can check back on your account status
and you can check back every day or so.
Typically your wait time will be to get a response and they will send it to your email
that is attached to your YouTube account so you want to check that.
Your response will be about one to two business days and make sure you also are aware that
this is counting holidays and that is American holidays
But nevertheless, that is the new way to appeal a flagging I do thank you for watching.
Make sure that you watch the tutorial on how to avoid being flagged.
That is very very important. Anyway, there will also be links in the description
on how to appeal age restrictions as well. I thank you for watching and I will see you
in the next one. And Molasses
how to appeal a flagging, flag, flagged, community guidelines, terms of service youtube, tutorial.
