This is a short demonstration of how to use the Wiki tool in cross-cultural
management
to help you with research for your first assignment. As you can see on the
homepage for cross cultural management now
we've set up in the discussion area, which you can click on,
a discussion board
and the cultural dimensions wiki space. Now if you click on
cultural dimensions wiki space you'll find that we've set up
wiki spaces for a wide variety of different cultural groups.
Now I'm going to help you by adding a little bit of research to the Australian
Aboriginal cultural section
and also, in doing that, I'll show you how to
contribute to the wiki pages that you're interested in.
So if we click on that it opens up the wiki area
and we need to create a wiki page which is very simple.
Now I've done a bit of research beforehand which I can copy
and paste
straight into this wiki page content
Then I'll add
a title which will indicate
the kind of Content that I'm can contributing
after you've done that just click Submit and you have created
your first wiki. You can also see that the title for my wiki page creative
spirits website has been set up
as an index under the Australian Aboriginal cultural dimensions
wiki area so every time you add a page
it'll be listed here in a quick easy to use index
you can also add a comment
to any wiki pages by clicking comments and posting a message in there
and then clicking Add. A final note in addition to
Aboriginal culture we have set up 8 other cultural groups
pages for you to contribute to, however, if there is another group that
you'd like to
to write about which is not there just give me
an email and my email is on this page p.macmullen@uws.edu.au
requesting the group that you're interested in
and I'll set up a separate wiki space for that group. So I hope you enjoy using the
wikis and it helps with your research
in cross cultural management.
