Well, welcome to the presentation. I guess I’ll start with the basics.
The first and most important point is that people with type 2 diabetes, physical activity is a necessity.
Not that it’s required, it’s just that it’s very good for you and there are a range of reasons for it.
I’m not going to go through each one of the reasons for it, you can write through the list yourself.
But the main point that I would re-enforce here is, it’s not about being sick or being well.
It’s making the most of your health.
Taking advantage of every opportunity to maintain as much control over your health and your life as you can.
Another reason… or one question I’m asked regularly is how much exercise to do.
And there are a couple of different answers to that.
The widely scientifically supported amount is moderate-intensity activity for at least 30 minutes on 5 or more days a week,
however it’s better to walk 10 or 20 minute every day than one hour once a week.
