Hi I'm Alexis and I'm Maria
Welcome to the Howard Gittis Student Center. The Student Center is open
Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to midnight.
Friday's 7am to 10 pm
And Saturdays and Sundays 10am through midnight.
There are 2 ways to the student center, the north and the south.
We will begin by taking you on a tour of the North Wing.
Through the doors there is a information desk to your right and lounge to your left.
The student center has an information desk where you can find out about upcoming events at Temple
or around Philly. You can also ask for directions if you get lost
and they also have brochures with any information.
and they also have SEPTA schedules. Near the information desk
are postings about upcoming events. There are 2 PNC ATM's
where you can deposit checks or cash.
This is the Philadelphia Credit Union Bank. The bank is open to the public, you can easily talk to a
teller about opening up a checking account or savings account.
It is helpful to belong to a bank on campus because you can easily take out money to go to Temple's book store.
Did you know the office and parking services are here? No what do they do?
Well you can buy monthly or daily parking passes
for any lot or garage here. Which is really good for commuters
because they can park their cars in really secure and safe places.
Wow that is so awesome! Did you know that there is a UPS Store here.
I actually did. I just actually bought a t-shirt
for my cousin and all I had to do was buy an envelope and a postage stamp.
This is the second level of the North wing. This is where the food court is located. They accept cash
credit, diamond dollars, and a meal plan. You can get pizza's, bagel's, wraps, suishi.
And more here. There are so many options.
This is the south wing of the student center. To the right is the game room.
You can play games here for a small fee or just hang out with friends.
This is the lower level where the box office
Reel and and Underground are located.
if you're looking for something to do has the box office to purchase tickets
for a discounted price
and go to events such as Philly games, aquarium visits
and go-karting trips.
The Reel is an on campus movie theater.
They show movies that are not yet out on DVD but have been in theaters for a while.
The Reel shows movies Thursday through Sunday at 4pm, 7pm and 10pm.
It cost $2 with a Temple id and is $4 for the public.
I wonder what they're showing this week?
Lets show them the second level.
This is the South wing
where they're are meeting rooms for conferences, organizations and clubs.
On the North side you can find the study lounge
with offices and more conference rooms.
Well that's it for this video guys. Hope it was helpful, good luck at Temple!
