My name is Czcibor and I like military things.
My father Igor
At school I enjoy the breaks and the school shop, because sometimes I have money.
Lessons... I don't like them much.
We have maths... and Polish.
We write in our notebooks... A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H...
I, J, K, L, Ł, M, N, O, P, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z.
I cannot do the Z and X.
Once I could not write S, but now I can.
I like playing 'bricklayer' most...
and 'tag'.
In 'bricklayer' you have to catch 'bricks' passing by.
This means us.
Sometimes I get to be the bricklayer.
In 'tag', someone runs and when they touch somebody,
They have to kneel down. And the others need toset them free.
Then they can run on.
He travels a lot, so he can see different countries
and different parts of Poland.
In you home you can hear German, English
in the British and American variants,
French, Dutch. Various people call in,
they stay over. He loves some of them.
So this alone gives him an openness
he would not have if we lead a different life.
He sees me alone as an office worker,
An author, a publisher,
A boss, an organizer,
a musician, sort of,
someone involved with filming, etc.
I think I don't constrain him in any way.

My favorite thing to do with dad is play Lego blocks.
I wanted to build a Lego city with him,
but we never did eventually.
Because, Dad had to write and write.
What makes me laugh the most is when dad makes the elephant noise.
It's really funny.
Dad is my best friend. Sometimes he has the time for me, and sometimes he doesn't.
I am not sure if what I do permeates our family and methods of upbringing.
It does, in the same manner any father's job permeates his home.
Parents have their rights and obligations,
it's natural that they transfer certain behavioral patterns into the home.
A child is like the home they live in.
A manager's child is a little manager,
a social activists child is permeated by social activist ideas,
and Czcibor is permeated by this.
However, on an everyday basis,
we do not impose or shape, but
we try to show his all the options available.
But you cannot hide the fact that dad is the chief,
that he plays a role of a leader and organizer.
So, on most levels that he can observe,
this is a kind of a model of a father and man he knows.
I do not impose it on him, though.
I can already see, altthough he is still a small boy,
that he obviously loves it.
So he must be genuinely interested.
I can already see, looking at him, that he won't follow in my steps.
Of course I would like him to.
Anyone who has a traditional, artisan job,
would like their son to take over his workshop.
Professions like lawyers or doctors run in families.
It is my dream, but when I look at him I see it will not necessarily come true.
Although he is much like I was at this age.
My dad wears long hair like me.
We are very similar.
He is not like the other daddies.
My dad is muscled. He practices,
and he is the boss there.
In the morning he lifts weights.
Sometimes he goes out and doesn't have much time for me.
I will be a good father to my son,
so that he becomes a policeman, or a karate fighter.
One of these.
Hello, this is Igor Górewicz.
I am calling about the tank T-55.
When will you have it? OK, you have my confirmation.
Have a nice day.
Since I was a child, I loved metal music.
If I like something, I cannot just be an observer.
And when you get on be on the stage, it involves emotions.
It's not just adrenaline.
It is energy, it is the sort of power that cannot be compared to anything.
Daddy's band is called Casus Belli.
They play cool Slavonic music.
Dad, of course, sings. In a very low voice.
I cannot do this.
My dad is the head of Slavs and Vikings.
He does historical reenactment.
And military reenactment.
I am me. I have many identities
that overlap with one another and complement one another.
I am a father, a Slav,
a Pole, a European,
a reenactor,
a voivode, a warrior.
Well, I am not a writer, not an actor.
Nor a musician.
Although I have my books, films and records.
I have a degree in Political Studies, but I do not work in this area.
So this is just a degree, I am not an expert in political studies.
I am not a historian, either. I do not have a degree in History.
I am only a popularizer.
It all started with reenactment of different kinds,
such as live history lessons for schools,
organizing festivals,
then came educational exhibitions.
One that has been on tour around Poland for some time now,
and another I am finishing now, 'Swords of Europe'.
It is co-financed by the Regional Operational Programme.
Since 2006 I own a publishing company.
I started publishing books for reenactors and lovers of history.
It turned out that the demand was considerable.
