Warning: I actually like the songs that I'm going to talk about and the people who sing them.
Hey everyone, I'm John Chim, and welcome to my very first song rants, which is a common thing to do here on YouTube.
So, I won't actualy play the songs, because of copyright issues and stuff...
Yeah, here's another thing that I can't do right.
Little Mix - You Gotta Not
The song came out in 2016 along with the rest of the Glory Days album.
One of the lyrics is: "I need a man who can act like a man", which is a great lyric, but it comes in contrast
to a lyric from Salute, which says: "We don't need no man", which implies that they don't need a man at all.
So, do you or do you not need a man, Little Mix?
What changed in 3 years?
However, the lyric "We don't need no man" has two negatives, which are equal to one positive, which implies
that they do need a man.
At this point, I am confusion.
Ariana Grande - Side to Side, featuring the one and only Nicki Minaj. The song came out in 2016 as part of the
Dangerous Woman album and was later released as a single.
The song talks about, well, sex, but there is one lyric that I have many thoughts about.
The lyric is: "'Cause tonight I'm making deals with the devil". What are you implying, Ariana? That you
sacrificed your soul for... for what? Sex? That is just sick. But did it work though? I'm a ***.
Britney Spears - Till The World Ends. The song was released as a single from Britney's "Femme Fatale"
album back in 2011. The song was a hit and, as a result, a remix was released, called the "Femme Fatale Remix".
There is a lyric in the hook of the song that says: "Keep on dancing till the world ends". I have so many
questions.
First of all, who keeps dancing till the world ends? The world is probably going to end in a million years, so
how do you do that? How do you keep dancing for a million years? Don't you like die or something?
Second of all, if you knew that the world was going to end, would you dance? Really? Wouldn't you call
your family, your friends, your significant other and tell them you love them or something?
Are you so insensitive? This isn't Grey's Anatomy, we don't dance it out.
Little Mix - Is Your Love Enough? The song was released back in 2017 as part of the Platinum Edition of the Glory Days album.
The song, in my opinion, could be a hit, like, seriously, event though they repeat the same sentence 25 times and even though
Jesy doesn't even sing that much.
What I'm really curious about is the fact that they douby the guy's love for them but 1 year before the song was
released, they released a song called "Touch", in which they say "Just the touch of your love is enough"
more than 12 times. Looks like someone is really indecisive about how much love they need.
Bebe Rexha - The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody) featuring Lil Wayne. The song was released as a single
from Bebe's third EP "All Your Fault, Part 2" in 2017. The song is really good, to be honest, even though the song's
title is pretty problematic. I mean, "The Way I Are"? Seriously, Bebe? All these kids have been going to school
all these years and have been learning that the correct thing to say is "I am, you are, he, she and it is" and now
you come and do that? Why?
will.i.am and Nicki Minaj - Check It Out. The song was released in 2010 as a single from Nicki's first album
"Pink Friday". The song talks about checking something out. I don't know what it is, but it must be really
interesting, considering the fact that that they repeat the phrase "check it out" almost 40 times. Nicki's verse is the
first verse of the song and one lyric says: "Haters, you can kill yourselves". I mean, Nicki, do you realize that
telling someone to commit suicide is a crime? This is serious.
Little Mix - DNA. Woah, a lot of Little Mix in this video. The song was their first ever single and was released in
in 2012. In the pre-chorus, Jade sings: "My heart won't beat again if I can't feel him in my veins".
Aw, that's so romantic, except that it's not! How can you feel a guy in your veins? Do you exchange blood? That
can be very dangerous and deadly if you don't have the same blood type. Unless, plot twist, she talks about
something else... Drugs, of course! Conspiracy theory: Jade from Little Mix talks about drugs in their very first
single. Just kidding! *fake laugh*
I don't think she talks about drugs at all.
Anyways, this is the end of the video, I'm done with whatever I had to say, thanks for watching, make sure to
comment below, you know, what you would like to see next, what do you think of this video, make sure to give
this video a thumbs up, because I've been here for, like, ten minutes, and I've been trying to do this video and I
need to sit dow, because my legs are hurting. *fake laugh*
That's it from me, make sure to have fun, bye-bye, see you next week.
