Are you keeping track of the nice thing people say about your business?
I'm Denise O'Berry and you're watching the "Little Big Show."
Your place for bit sized tips that can have a big impact on your bottom line.
You know that word of mouth can grow your business.
You hear your customers saying nice things about you all the time.
But for some reason they don't tell other people, and for that matter, they don't write
it down. Geez!
What do you have to do to get a testimonial from someone anyhow?
Well, you're going to laugh because it's pretty simple.
You just ask. Your customers are busy people.
They don't think about your business day in and day out like you do.
So the responsibility for capturing testimonials lies with you.
So how do you collect testimonials without putting the burden on your customer?
It's as easy as saying, "How did that new widget work out for you?" and then you just
listen. See, I told you it was easy.
Testimonials don't have to be written in a formal letter.
You'll often get more useable comments when they aren't.
Here's the bottom line, and yes, it's a Tweetable. Sound bites that pack a punch can go far in
building credibility for your company. Here's what you need to do.
#1 When you hear someone say something nice about your company, write it down.
#2 Then ask them if you can quote them and use the information in your promotional materials.
Make sure you ask permission to use their name and company, when it's appropriate.
You want your future customers to see themselves in those words.
Nothing is better than your current customers telling your future customers how good you
are. What do you do to get customer testimonials?
