If Michelangelo were alive today, he would have said " Magnifica ".
This is the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider, and it's simply one of the most beautiful machines
ever made.
Let me start the video, with this dilemma. I don't understand why this car has a radio!
Why do I need to press a button to hear some music, when I can simply ask to the driver
to push the throttle and hear this?
This sound is just awesome! It's like to listen to your favourite music, and you keep replaying
it!
I never get tired of this!
You know what, I could stay here for hours and walk around and look at its lines.. this
is not a supercar, but it's a masterpiece on wheels.
I like the Spider, more than the Coupè, I think it looks better and you enjoy even more
the spectacular soundtrack that encourages you to keep accelerating all the time.
The heart of the 8C is a downsized version of a 4.7L v8 Ferrari engine that produces
450hp and it's linked to a 6-Speed flappy paddle gearbox.
For the standard of the supercars of today it could be a low amount of power, but I think
that's enough for a road use.
Many journalists have criticized the 8C for its performance.
Sure, it doesn't have the magnificent steering of a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, or even the
power, but I think that overall this car is really well done.
It's like a fine italian wine that you drink for its delicate aroma and taste, just like
this car, that sure it's fast, but it's certainly not the reason why you would buy one!
I think that a drive with the roof down in the riviera or in the countryside are certainly
the most exciting and fun things you can do
with the 8C Spider.
The price for one of these, is about 215k €, there are paintings that even cost over
a milion, in comparison the purchase of an 8C is a real deal!
And to make it even more exclusive, just 500 of these have been produced. If you drive
a Ferrari or a Lamborghini around Monte Carlo, people will ignore you.
But if you go with this, you'll be in the middle of the attention. That's sure, you
don't see an 8C every day!
Alfa Romeos don't enjoy a great reputation, even the 8C wouldn't be a genuine Alfa Romeo
if it didn't had defeicts.
For example, my pocket could keep more stuff than the trunk, the side indicators are the
same you find on a Fiat, the roof compartment looks to be designed with hurry!
But to me, the worse is the heating caused by the transmission. Whenever you drive, the
central tunnel and the seats are steadily hot.
But I have to say that I don't care because the charm about this car make me forget about
all these negative things and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.
