Hello, hello. It's Nichole Kellerman here; founder and creator of SuccessfulWeightLossSchool.com
where women go to stop dieting, reshape their bodies and feel wildly alive. Okay, so today
we're doing an "A in your Q" segment, so I am answering your question. So, Linda wrote and
she says, "Nichole, I am stuck with injuries. Being in a recovery after a shoulder injury,
I am now facing another. How do you lose weight while having injuries?" And you know what Linda,
I totally here you this time. I pulled a hip flexor muscle when I was actually in personal
training school and it was terrible. The recovery will basically sit on your bum all day. So
I know what you are going through here. So, I have 3 tips to take with you, while you
are trying to lose weight while you are nursing injury or a condition. First one, (little
tough here Linda) you've got to stop using this as an excuse. Don t let Helga, that little
sabotaging voice that is in the back of your head and tell you that you are unable to do
things because of this injury. Yes, there is something you cannot do, but there are
so many things that you can do. Number two. Every seven years you have a brand new body.
So what this is mean? Your body is always regenerating itself and always striving for
100%. It's always wanting them. Bu the only way that you can have a body that fully healed
and working efficiently, is it let your mind really grasp that concept. Because so often
we get into, "Oh I'm too old. I'm stuck in this forever and it's never gonna go away. My body
is just falling apart. You see how these thoughts are really creating your body. So if you're
really try to get your mind on board and saying a mantra, "I have healthy and strong body."
"I have a healthy strong body that's getting better and better everyday," that's gonna help
you shift your perspective and make the unimaginable right now imaginable. And the third one is
turn inward and listen to your body. As you are getting into an exercise regimen, or you're
trying to lose weight, you really need to listen to your body and what she is saying.
So if you're doing an exercise and it's bugging your shoulder that it doesn't feel right,
stop and listen to it and find a modification. And that's the biggest piece that you've opened
up the conversation between you and your body, and I guarantee you will lose the weight and
you will regenerating your cells to optimum health.
