The way you keep up with your friends on Facebook
is about to change -- TechCrunch reports that big bad newsfeed is about to get an overhaul:
“Facebook
has just issued invitations to press, which promise a new look for News Feed, to be held
March 7 at 10 AM PT. ”
That’s right -- more change for the monster social networking
site. Although Facebook has been a little cryptic and hasn’t revealed many details
about the timeline change...
The LA Times reports the new spin on the feed follows other
major layout changes for the website, which they were a little more public about:
“Although
Facebook has made drastic changes to its profile pages and search feature in recent years,
it has left the news feed largely untouched for some time.”
This news follows the
big announcement that Facebook is also texting a new timeline design. Mashable says:
“Currently
live in New Zealand, the new look brings a slimmed down toolbar to the top of profile
pages and repositions other content.”
But, whoever said change was a bad thing? Well...
we’ll just let you decide.
