I am here with Deborah McMahon on these video series on personal growth and improvement,
and how to get the life that you would like to be living. Our fifth step is essential,
and is really based on oneness; and the fact that we are all one and that we are unified.
Anything that brings separation between us is stepping outside of that. This fifth step
is letting the good flow through you and into you, which means it's essential not only to
always be of service, I mean there's a guy on the side of the road and he's got a flat
tire, take him to the gas station. I have done this my whole life. Giving constantly.
If I see a chance to serve, I jump at it, I love serving, and receiving is just as important.
So many people are locked up on "oh I shouldn't take anything", or "I shouldn't receive".
Receiving is a gift to the person, it's an opportunity to create that oneness, that unity,
that opportunity for sharing, and loving. It's so important to love and be loved, to
share and receive, both in this process; because it opens up the possibility of yes, which
is really a compilation fifth set of principles in this book. When you stand in yes, you are
open and available. You are letting go of everything else and you are standing in yes.
If somebody asks you something and it's scary to you, say yes and see what happens, that's
so important. It's important to ask for what you want, and to trust that is going to happen;
and if you need something, this is one of the most important principles of the book,
if you need something, give it away. If you need friends, be a friend. If you need love,
be loving. If you need money, give it away, and there is so much truth in that tithing
and giving anything, anything you give people; give people money, anything you open that
up, moneys just flies back at you, have you experience that? Completely, totally, all
the time. It seems so contrary that if you let go of money, if you believe in limited
amounts of money, then you let go of money, then it's gone, but that's not the reality.
This principle about this abundance is about the more you give, the more it comes back
to you. I call it you are in the flow of abundance, and when you step into that circle, you are
in it, and it comes back amazing, it blows me away. A key point to abundance is forgiveness,
which we kind of mentioned earlier. If you have and abundance issue on anything in your
life, look in your life to what you have unforgiven, and when you allow forgiveness to happen,
of yourself and others; and we spoke earlier about forgiving yourself is the hard part.
Letting go of what's happen and releasing it and seeing the perfection in it and forgiving,
opens the door the door to abundance of all that's good for you. It's amazing to me how
that works. I am sure you can share something about that because you have abundance. Well,
I work on not worrying. I use to be a big worrier. I worried about everything. I was
a type A worrier, and I just did a shift a few years back, and every year it gets easier
and easier, just not to worry. Even when I have a pile of bills, I am like "I have plenty
of money", and I write it down, and plenty of money comes my way. Because you believe
it and you know it's coming, you have faith. Whereas before I'd be stricter like "oh my
God, look at all these bills". I would be so into that fear and the worry of how am
I going to pay for this, and I wasn't in solution. I was giving power to that fear of bills and
lack of money, and letting go and not worrying. Is as simple as, my mother use to say this,
and it's kind of true, smile, even if you are not happy. Just start smiling and pretty
soon you will change your mood. Right, right. If you want an example of abundance in your
life all you have to do is look where we are right now. There is nothing in nature that
is not abundant, that is always available to you. If you can think of how many birds
you see staggering around, falling over from lack of food, you don't see it, because there
is an abundance of everything in the world. When you know that, then it's not yours or
mine, it's ours. There's plenty for everyone. That is the moment when you step into your
true self and you say yes, and that is the moment when your life will change and you
will have the life that you dream of, right in that moment, it will happen. It's a process
of realizing the truth, letting go of the things that don't serve you, and embracing
the truth of who you are, and stepping into the abundance by letting go of anything that
does not serve you so that you can live your life in yes. Practice these things. It's not
going to happen overnight, it's really hard to change attitudes overnight. Well, it's
very easy. The belief is that we are going to change, so we are going to know that it's
easy to change, and we do it with ease and grace, and it happens in a moment, when we
know the truth of the universal knowledge.
