Hello and welcome to this video
that will show you how to use the new Void Storage feature
introduced in patch 4.3, Hour of Twilight, for World of Warcraft.
Each chapter of this video can be accessed directly
by clicking the links in the table of contents
currently shown on screen.
Characters of all levels are able to take advantage
of the new Void Storage technology,
which will open up 80 slots of long-term storage space.
A variety of items can be placed into Void Storage
including soulbound items and Battle.net Account Bound items.
This makes it the perfect location
to store trophies from past conquests,
as well as gear you may want to hold onto for Transmogrification.
To use this feature, visit one of the Ethereals
located in your capital city.
For Alliance players, seek help from Vaultkeeper Razhid
in Stormwind City, Cathedral Square.
If you play a Horde character, visit Vaultkeeper Jazra,
located in the Drag in Orgrimmar.
Storing your items will only take you a few clicks and a few coins.
Simply talk to the Vaultkeeper to make the Void Storage window appear.
When you use it for the first time, a new window will pop up.
We suggest you give it a good read as it explains that the Vaultkeepers
will only look after your soul- or account-bound items
and will need to remove any modifications
such as gems and enchantments to do so.
The items will also become non-refundable and non-tradeable.
On top of that, you will need to hand over
a few coins to gain access to your vault.
Now you know what you need to do, let's do it.
Once you've unlocked Void Storage,
you will be presented with some information about its structure.
The deposit window can be found here,
the withdraw window here
and the validation button for each is found here.
The main window represents your void storage vault.
From there, it's very easy.
To store items, put the items you want to store in the deposit box
either by right-clicking or dragging and dropping them.
A storage fee will then be shown at the bottom of the window.
If you're willing to proceed, simply click on "Transfer".
To take an item out of the void storage,
right-click it from your main void storage window
and it will be moved to the "Withdraw" box.
Now just hit "Transfer" to finalize the withdrawal
and have the items moved to your bags.
Deposits and withdrawals can be done at the same time.
If you have lots of items stored
and can't find the one you're looking for,
you can use the "Search" field available at the top of the window.
Just type in part of your item name and it will be highlighted.
The Ethereals are a bit picky about what they will store for you.
Here is what you should know before you give them anything.
Only soulbound and account-bound items can be stored.
Be extra careful! Items going into void storage
lose their enchantments and gems.
The Ethereals are very considerate and will display a warning sign
when you attempt to store enchanted or gemmed gear
to make sure you don't make any mistakes.
You cannot store damaged items;
get everything fully repaired before making a deposit.
Stackable items cannot be put into void storage.
That's it for Void Storage, a new feature brought to you in patch 4.3.
Thanks for watching and have a great time in World of Warcraft!
