Right now, I'm standing outside the front of Mihaylo Hall, located on the corner of
Nutwood Ave. and Foline Drive. Right off the 57 Freeway.
Mihaylo Hall is the large building right at front of campus.
Today I'm going to give you a tour, and let you know about all the amazing
resources that the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics has to offer. Let's get started!
After walking into the biulding, you will notice that we have our very own
Starbucks, located in the heart of Mihaylo Hall.
Here, students can grab a quick cup of coffee before class,
meet with the group for a project,
or have study session in the foyer.
Also located on the first floor near the entrance,
is the directory kiosk.
It's a very useful tool to help you find things like department offices,
classrooms, the computer lab, and also business advising- which is located right
here in room 1201.
Here we are in Business Advising with Triseinge Black,
the Assistant Dean of Academic Services.
Assistant Dean Black, can you tell us what you guys do here in Business Advising?
Sure, here in Business Advising,
what we do, is we provide services to,
all continuing as well as prospective business major students So any student
who is a first-time freshman, a transfer student,
a student whose currently on academic probation, re-admitted students.Anyone
essentially that would like to have information in regards to their classes
for the business major or received any information in regards to what they
need to do in order to graduate
from the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics.
Awesome, it sounds like a great place for students to come and
learn about the business major.
Thank you for your time.
No problem.
In the foyer, there's stair that lead up to the second floor.
On the second floor, there are classrooms,
a balcony to study inbetween classes,
the resource area, where you'll find the lost and found,
a copy machine,
and a vending machine.
The cool thing about this vending machine is that it has scantrons and blue booksfor your exams. It's
conveniently located inside the building,
that way if you forget your materials for your test, you don't have to leave Mihaylo Hall!
Outside the main building is the courtyard where all of our club recruiting and
resource fairs take place.
From here, you can walk to Pavillion A, to your right, and Pavillion B, to your left.
Through these doors is Pavillion A, which will lead you to the MIhaylo Career Services room.
I'm standing here with Lauren Klentak, Senior Career Consultant
for the Mihaylo Career Services.
Lauren, can you tell us about MIhaylo Career Services and what it has to offer our business
students? Sure! You should think of this office as your hub
for all the career related activity going on throughout Mihaylo College.
So come here, or to our website to find out about programs, events, and resources to
help you not only explore different careers, find out what you want to do,
but also help you take the steps to get there. How to market yourself to an employer to
take the next step. And it's open to all students regardless of your year, and it's never too early to start.
Awesome, it sounds like a great place on campus.
Also on the second floor of Pavillion A, is the MIhaylo College Tutoring Center.
Let's go inside and check it out!
I'm standing here with Assistant Dean of Studnet Affairs, Emeline Yong-and we're actually in the
Mihaylo Tutoring Center right now.
Ms. Yong can you tell us about the Tutoring Center and what services it has to offer?
Well as the center suggests, we are a tutoring facility,
we do have tutors, as you can see in the background. There are tutoring courses like
accounting, business writing, ISDS, economics, finance, and it's all free for our
students. Are there any other services that the Tutoring Center offers for students?
Well, we do have break-out rooms throughout the two pavillions and main building.
And they can book rooms through the Tutoring Center.
Those are also available to our students while the Center is open.
Thank you for joining us today on our virtual tour of
Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, here at California State University Fullerton.
