Come on!
Russkaja explains Russia
Two new-money-Russians are meeting, one says:
Hi my friend, look I bought a new tie, I paid 600 Euro!
The other one says:
Yo bro, are you crazy, I saw this one behind the corner for 700!
Russian decadence - an important topic!
But somehow the odd location!
A sip of the good old magic-chai can help us to the right atmosphere.
The typical Russian takes whatever he wants, because he can afford everything.
Everyone has furs of sable, furniture from northern Italy,
or german cars in the garage! That´s the cliché.
The truth is as follows:
The 500 richest citizens dispose of 50% of its annual gross domestic product.
Not that many for a population of over 140 million .
Wherefrom the wealth of the few came, is easy to explain.
In the early 90s of the last century - after dissolution of the Soviet Union,
there was the big closing-down sale of Russian economy!
Previously everything belonged to everybody and all at once nothing belonged to anyone.
All commodity undertakings were abandoned and were just waiting to be assumed by anyone.
It was like on moon, the first of there was allowed to stick his flag into it.
Only problem was, if a stronger one came, who also wanted to have this factory.
Since the government was not very interested in mediation, there was Darwinism at its finest.
"Hello! You got beautiful pumpjacks! Now they belong to me!"
The modern oligarch was born and he loves shopping until today.
From the beautiful sailing boat to the football teams.
In my opinion it's all a bit overrated, if you have a good chai.
But also the "not that rich" Russians, like to show what they have got,
after during communism, when all of them paid the same wardrobe by the same salary.
Now one is not able to afford more, but one can boast more of it.
However, a beautiful new world.
But this should be evaluated by somebody else, I prefer to make music.
УРАAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
