Hi, welcome back. My name is Megan Moe, and today I'm talking to you about some things
that you can do to prevent yourself from getting germs or infections when you're working out
in the gym. Now here we have a specialized piece of equipment known as the gravitron,
and there are many pieces like this in different gyms. And you want to be sure, because these
tend to have a lot of handles on them that you do keep them clean before and after using
the piece of equipment. By sterilizing with ethanol solution, or you can use anti bacterial
wipe. And, as you probably learned from being in a gym, sometimes people do walk away without
cleaning equipment properly after they've used it. If that is the case, and you feel
like lending a hand, then you can take your anti bacterial wipes or your ethanol and simply
just walk up to the machine and give a spray to anywhere that contact is made. Namely the
handles, and on this specific piece, you want to be sure to give attention to where the
knees are touching to, especially if the person who was using it was wearing shorts. Even
if they weren't, the best policy is to clean it anyway. So you want to be sure you clean
that. And again, since it is ethanol, you want to be sure that you do let it sit for
about a minute. And up here too. You can even spray the rag if you don't want to spray overhead
and clean it that way. And just make sure you get it all around and take care of it,
and again, the most important thing is for you to make sure that you clean the piece
of equipment before and after every use, that's very vital. So I'm going to give you a few
other tips on how you can stay clean and safe while at the gym.
