Hi, I'm Stan De Freitas, Mr. Green Thumb. If you're looking for a plant that's really
vibrant, you've got to think of the ***'s Comb, or Celosias, as they're often called.
The ***'s Comb, you can get them well the name comes from the beautiful flower that
tends to come up just like a ***'s comb on a rooster. And of course they come in yellow,
they come in gold, they come in different shades of Apricot. They're a beautiful plant
that doesn't seem to have too many problems. It's a nice annual flower that you can have
in a wall and basket area, or you can have it out in front of your home. It's a nice
entryway plant. Now, they won't last too long. They're going to be a seasonal plant, but
if you're looking for something that's a real showstopper think of these in mass plantings.
If you've got twenty, or thirty, or forty of them in a group, you're going to have people
stopping at your front door, saying what's that beautiful plant that you have growing
out there? It's a plant that takes full sun to partial shade. Make sure you fertilize
it about ever month or two in a high light area, and maybe every three to four months
in a low light area. *** Comb or Celosia is an easy plant to grow, and makes a vibrant
plant in your landscape. For On Gardening, I'm Stan De Freitas, Mr. Green Thumb.
