Now, we're going to add some pretty lace and some beads to our hand mirror. For this, I'm
going to use some regular craft glue, white craft glue, because it's a little bit easier
to work with. So, I'm going to put the glue all the way around the mirror and you can
take your finger and just spread that out evenly and add your trim. I'm using this pretty frilly
lace to decorate our mirror, and we're staying with a black and white theme. And, I'm just,
put that all the way around your mirror. And, press it down good to make sure that it adheres
well.
And, then trim it, right at the seam and we'll put a little dab of glue. You want to make
sure that you're using a nice, thick, quick drying glue, that will dry clear. You put
a little dab there, that will stop any fraying of the ribbon and since it dries clear, you
won't be seeing it. Now, we're also going to add some beads on top of that around the
edge. And, we'll use the same thick, tacky glue to put a generous amount around and,
then we'll adhere the beads to that glue. O.k. now, I put the glue on there. You don't
have to worry about it not being so neat, it will dry clear. And, we'll gently push
the beads into the glue nice and close to the edge of the mirror. You want to have a
good, thick amount of glue there to hold those beads on. And, then when you get to the end,
you just trim, trim the beads.
And, we'll let that dry. Here's our finished decoupage hand mirror and I've just added
a bead here, a pretty little heart to complete the hand mirror.
